Some time ago I quoted Nassim Taleb, and it bears repeating to myself: Respect for the time-honored implies a minimal exposure to the media as a guiding principle for someone involved in decision making under uncertainty.
As news comsumption (aka doom scrolling) has an addictive component to it, I've also deemed it necessary to installed a domain blocker add-on. Among the first inhabitants is the orange site. It will certainly not be the last domain on it. Let's see if I can get my brain a bit more in order again, as I intend to use it for quite a few more years.
