In my sisyphean struggle to get back to the blissful state of inbox zero, I try to avoid Emailing myself; but I see the point of those who do.
Mail is a perfectly cromulent folk interface. Basically you get a semi-structured database, reasonable sort and search, and don't have to care about authentication, so: why roll your own todo app / kanban board / image upload ...? Also very important: it is not damned MS Teams.
